Welcome to my personal blog. You might be wondering why I started this when there are so many types of social media apps available. Part of it is an act of rebellion – I really don’t like the way social media treats people and their private data. But social media is one of the best ways to get in touch with people and share information – next to old fashioned blogging anyway. Part of the reason for this blog is because I had three of my social media accounts hacked about 18 months ago, and as a result I lost about ten years of memories that I only shared there. At this time, I’ve recovered only one of those accounts – the one I hardly ever used, naturally. A third reason why I am starting this blog now is because I want to have a place where people can go and learn a little more about me and we can start a dialogue.
As many of you who find your way here will probably already know, I was honored to be nominated to stand as a candidate for Commander of the ancient Scots Family and Clan of Logan. That was indeed the impetus at this time to start this blog. I feel like if I can put down some of my history, some of my thoughts, and some of my hopes onto the worldwide web for the global family of Logans then they will be comfortable with my nomination, and hopefully they’ll understand the level of my passion for the future of the Logans.
